Mid Michigan College recently added a co-ed Clay Target Shooting team as a varsity sport in the Fall 2022 semester.

David Magnus, of Clare, has been hired as the inaugural head coach of the team.

Magnus was an assistant clay target shooting coach at Clare Public Schools from 2019 through 2021 and has a solid background in the sport of target shooting.

?I gained experience as an active member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, where I accumulated multiple state and zone championships,? shared Magnus.

Coach Magnus is also a AA class trapshooting champion and C class skeet champion through the Reed City Sportsman's Club where has been a member since 2019.
