Bowling Teams Participate in WHAC Tournament at JAX60

Both bowling teams made the trip to JAX60 in Jackson to participate in the WHAC Tournament. This served as the final tune-up tournament heading into the conference season, which begins in January. 

For the women, they placed 16th among the varsity programs, and 18th overall for the tournament. 

There was 113 individual bowlers at the tournament in the field for the women. Khaila Bullard notched the top finisher for the Lakers, finishing with a 724 series over four games. This was good for 38th overall. Becca Claypool was next in line for the ladies, finishing 64th overall with a 642 series over four games. 

For the men, they placed 14th among the varsity programs, and 21st overall. There were 33 total teams participating. 

There were 198 bowlers in the field for the men. Brett Petersen led the way for the Lakers, shooting 727 over his four game series. That was good for 70th. Just behind him was Cole Swanberg with a 712 series for four games, good for 76th in the field. 

The Lakers return to action on Friday, January 5th when they begin conference play at Oak Lanes, where Wayne County hosts the season opener at 11:00 AM.
