Lakers Kick off Season in Port Huron

Port Huron, MI - The Mid Michigan Lakers kicked off their 2025-26 cross country campaign on Saturday at the Skipper Showcase in Port Huron.

In the men's 8K race, Drew Moore led the way for the Lakers with an impressive 7th place overall finish and 4th among junior college (JC) competitors, clocking in at 27:27. Logan Dudley also represented the Lakers, finishing 43rd overall and 31st among JC runners with a time of 31:47.5.

On the women's side, Natalie Lemert competed in the 5K, finishing 33rd overall and placing 28th among JC runners with a time of 23:40.

The Lakers look to build on their strong start as the season progresses.  They visit Grand Rapids next weekend, running in the GRCC Raider Invite.
