The 26 wins this season is a school record and the tournament run in the furthest Mid has ever advanced.

The Lakers won a pair of one run games on Thursday, defeating Schoolcraft 7-6 and Edison State 5-4.

After falling to Mott Community College 3-2 in nine innings on Friday, Mid rallied to win an elimination game Saturday 4-2 over Lake Michigan College.

Unfortunately, Mid dropped a heartbreaker in the final game, losing to Mott 8-7.

Adria Reed went 2-of-4 at the plate with an RBI, while Alexis Mielke was 3-of-4 with a solo home run. Phoenix Shaw finished 2-of-4 offensively with two RBIs.

In the pitching circle, Tessa Cameron pitched 6.0 innings in the loss.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, three Lakers were named to the All-Tournament team. Mielke and Cameron were joined by Zoey Bacon in receiving All-Tournament honors.
