Men's Basketball Opens Conference Play with Emphatic Home Win

Men's basketball began conference play in the inaugural MCCAA Northern Conference by hosting the first year program, North Central Michigan College Timberwolves. The Lakers took down NCMC 103-70. Leading the scoring parade was Delon McCloud who shot a hot 10-12 from the field, good for 20 points. Starters Jayden Sims and Satchel Love also scored double digits, both going for 16 while Javel Lewis Jr. scored 15 points. Off the bench, Tony Russell Jr. and Nick Ellis both hit double digits in the scoring column: 11 and 10 points respectfully. The Lakers look to build on their 1-0 start to conference play when they host Grand Rapids on 1/18.
