Men's Basketball Drops Road Contest at Bay College

Men's basketball made the long trek to Escanaba, MI to take on the top-20 ranked Bay College Norse as conference play continued to wind down. The Norse were the sole blemish on the Lakers conference record coming into the rematch. The Lakers played a very back and forth contest, but in the end they couldn't pull off the win. The Lakers missed a shot at the buzzer that would have forced OT, resulting in a 74-76 loss. They were led by Jayden Sims, who scored 20 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and added 3 assists. Satchel Love also turned in a strong 17 point performance. Love also gathered 5 rebounds and blocked a shot. Makhi McCombs added 11 points, 5 rebounds, and a pair of blocks. The Lakers return to the hardwood versus Muskegon in a make up contest on Thursday, 3/2.
