Men's Basketball Loses OT Thriller to Fall to 6-2

Men's basketball hit the road boasting their #15 national rank, taking on Bryant & Stratton (WI) hoping to continue their strong open to the season and get their record to 7-1. 

The Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton were not to be overlooked, coming into the game at 5-2. The Lakers held a narrow 36-35 lead at the half. The Bobcats came storming back in the second half, and after a back and forth conclusion of regulation, this game went to overtime. The overtime period was controlled by the home Bobcats, resulting in a 81-75 loss for the visiting Lakers. This dropped the men's record to 6-2 on the season.

Leading the way was Nick Ellis with a double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Ellis also had a pair of assists and a block. James Wright shot 7-8 from the free throw line, en route to a 15 point performance. Wright also gathered 7 rebounds. De'Antre Griffin and Devin Watts each chipped in 9 points. Delon McCloud added 7 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

The Lakers return to action Friday, December 8th when they play host to the Aquinas College Saints (JV).
